I thought I would make this blog for stuff that doesnt fit in The Couch Casbah or on Gyronet. This blog is less of a ranting site, but more of a place where I can just frolic.

           Secrets of Halo

How to kill kill kill in Halo:

Find a big gun, aim and fire! However, be sure not to be killed yourself in the process.

Never stand still...i mean NEVER! Even if you have to pee or something, keep running, staying still for even one second leaves you subject to being runover by a haphazard Warthog driver.

Drive a Warthog, if you cannot ascertain a warthog, kill the driver.

Bash a corpse, in makes you mre powerful and the SFX are really cool!

Hmmm, im sure there are other tips, but i cant think of any more right now.

           Im baaaack

Yes yes! I am alive! With the constraints of examinatons gone for not another yonks, I can devote my time to more useless things, thing rather, i.e. my two blogs. Ahhh, tonight I was teased, yes, TEASED by the evil Spazzy Princess by enticing me with Lasagne for dinner. But nooooooo, I had to cook and spend some time with Mum, and I feel a bit guilty not being home all the time, so I guess I had to.

Adelaide drivers, man they are slow! If I am in a rush, I can overtake nearly every single car out there just driving at the speed limit. Crazy as it sounds, speeding is overkill if you want to pass a few cars. This was emphasised when I saw a dump truck overtake a Berlina. Ridiculous.

Looking forward to a tremendous holidays filled with hanging out and doing some sporting activites I haven't done in ages...namely Golf! Hopefully we can make a Rugby game too! But the best part is definetly spending some quality time with Cait. :D

           Rain coming...

At this very time rain has started to fall at my place, so that means that there is a 2-3 hour delay in rain from Magill to Golden Grove. Assuming windspeed and other factors remain constant. Anywho, I'm studying it up pretty hard, it's very stressful and is taking it's toll on me. But hey! It's all good!

    I wish I could sleep!

           It's Official

Im really unhappy with Uni, I feel like I hit a wall and am totally burnt out. I should've deffered this year but hey, it's too late now. I'm not psyched up at all for the looming exams. What a load of crap. Maybe next semester will be alot better for me. All Im hoping for is for some good down time during the break. Because as far as I'm concerned I never had any real holiday since I graduated in Year 12. It was all party then depression then Uni.

So maybe I can get a REAL break this upcoming month, I can use one of those.

           Photo of the Day

I will take a break from my Queensland travels for now.

This is a place called the wet market 3mins from my place in the Philippines. For those who are intrested, I live in Polo,Valenzuela City,Metro Manila right down Balangkas. The place is a major calling point for any seafood traders as well as the usual fruit and veg. The area is also well known for its oysters, I will post a pic of a nice platter of oysters later.

           Care to Dance, Mark Webber?

This Website is gold...it features a dancing geek every weekday. You must see to believe and marvel at its wonderous wonder. Nothing makes me happier to see a dancing geek on the internet, that's what it's all about.

Watched the Formula One last night, Mark Webber did alright. I mean, he qualified 14th to finish at 5th, albeit he got lucky with the Renaults DNFing along with Montoya. His 2 stop strategy worked well for him dispite the Saftey Car coming out because of Button ramming into a wall from flying of an apex which drivers (expect for him ironically) were complaining about. Ahhh, I like Formula One, it's a pity that the FIA is trying to slow it down, but F1 should be the pinnacle of motorsport, it shouldne be brought down tot he level of Champ Cars or the Indie races. *shudder*

           Photo of the Day

This is the stuffed Polar Bear I bought at Sea World. Cost me $20 but hey, the bear is nice and fluffy so I thought it was worth the money. I decided to make the bear Japanese (due to the large amounts of Japanese tourists in the area). So I am now a proud owner of a Japanese Polar Bear (if any do exist).

The Miracle of Third Party Browsing

I've opened my horizons to the wonderful world of 3rd party browsing. I can safely say that I will never use IE 6 ever again. I know I'm slow to jump on the bandwagon, but I'm really happy with using Opera as my main browser. It's got so many features that IE doesnt (one of my favourites being the mouse gestures). This combined with my RSS Feedreader Ablion, my Internet browsing has become very efficent that my routines only take a quarter the time they would normally be if I used Outlook and IE combined! Ahhh, technology these days...

           Intresting trend

Im currently at victoria square. Whilst walking to here from my carpark I counted 15 Africans to only an Asian count of 9. Maybe because the markets and the food courts are closed? Or is it signs to come?

Later I will post a pic of the fountain at night...it's cool!

Unfortunately I was late for Jess' surprise birthday party because I slept in and was awoken by my ringing mobile (my ringtone is RAF sayin"JUAAAAAN!"). It was fun seeing RAF get smacked in the dace with a cake.

           Recharging my batteries...

Thanks goes to Bodie for letting us stay at the mansion yet again, congratulations on the soccer victory! Also thanks to RAF for fetching the pizza. Just got home now, looking forward to a solid 3 hour sleep.

I really am looking forward to the first rugby test this afternoon at 2pm on Channel Seven. Hopefully we will be able to watch it at the big screen and on Fox Sports.

           The one thing about insomnia...

Is that you can watch early morning TV. I enjoy watching the various infomertials such ad the '6 second abs' machine or the 'Miracle Blade Perfection series III'. So much usless stuff...there also is alot of fake banter with American morning talkshows. I mean these guys crack up at knock-knock jokes. *sigh*

That might make a good rant on the casbah maybe.

I really should sleep earlier! Im writong this post on my mobile, ahh i love gadgets. The other beauty of being insomniatic is that there is the calm serenity...ahhh the serenity!

    Ping Ping (low quality)

This is Ping Ping, one of the Polar Bears at Sea World. Her day would consist of standing on that rock, diving into the water, climbing back up, and doing it all over again until she gets tired. I couldn't get enough of it, her routine was captivating. After seeing Ping Ping I decided I liked Polar Bears (still second to lions for me though) and bought a stuffed Polar Bear, I will post a picture of it tomorrow.

           Magoo's vs. the Unibar

Went to visit Cait today at her Uni! That was alot of fun, we went to hangout at the 'bar'. The name of the 'bar' at UniSA Magill campus is Magoo's. I would call it a counter more than anything. They only have two types of beer on tap, and the place is virtually deserted (Happy hours are 12 to 1 Wednesdays and Fridays). But hey, the pool tables are straight and games are $1. Parking is also cheaper there, $1 will buy you 8 whole hours!. Impressive...Met Steph there, with some of her Uni mates. This cool guy called Nick was there too. He wears nail polish, but I'm willing to let that one slide. Magoo's is...quaint, but I felt really homesick, I miss my beloved Unibar (ahhh, I will be there soon enough).

Some people prefer quietness. I prefer to have lots of people (not too much) in a bar, adds to the atmosphere, plus people can challenge you for pool. Anyway, UniSA is a good Uni, lots of space and quiet study places. Plus there's no graffiti in the toilets, which deserves a thumbs up for cleanliness. Nonetheless, nothing beats home, i.e. the Unibar!

           Photo of the Day

This is a photo from my trip to Movie World on the Gold Coast. I got the day pass to here, the pass included a Looney Tunes show. The show is full of colour and lame ass jokes. But it's for kids, I wasn't expecting standup. The photo is taken when the Looney Tunes go back in time to the 70's and disco down.
